Breakfast:
Chocolate Smoothie
I love starting my day with this indulgent cacao smoothie. It sounds very naughty but it is 100% healthy and it keeps me full all morning. I have included the recipe for this delicious smoothie below. I have my smoothie around 6:30am before work every morning after drinking a big glass of lemon water. I also like having a green smoothie or eggs and greens.
CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE RECIPE:
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp linseed
- 1/2 scoop protein powder
- 1 tsp maca root powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp sweetener (I use honey)
Lunch:
Salads! I am one of these people who love salad but I am talking about big salads with 6 or more ingredients. Lately I have been loving a combination of kale, quinoa, grated carrots, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds and avocado with a tahini lemon dressing or just simple olive oil.
Snacks:
Handful of almonds and a piece of fruit if I am doing a workout after work.
Dinner:
I eat organic meat 2-3 nights a week and on other nights have vegan meals such as these Quinoa Stuffed Zucchini boats. I sometimes have a little raw chocolate treat after dinner too!
Fitness:
I love going for beach walks with my husband or friends and doing yoga. I also do a few runs each week and aim to do more running and be consistent doing yoga in 2015. I have been using Youtube videos in the evenings at home!
