7am

I wake up and make a pot of tea, it’s always the first thing I think about when I wake up. My tea preference differs daily and it can vary from dandelion or chai or if it’s a gut-healing day (I do them twice a week based on my Heal Your Gut Program,) I make an Anti-inflammatory Toddy with chai spices such as cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, nutmeg and turmeric too. It’s such a tasty filling tea and I generally make it with almond or cashew milk. Then I’ll either go and teach yoga or do a personal practice or take my dog for a walk to the park and stretch our legs!

8.30am

I get back to my place around 8.30am and make breakfast, either a poached egg and dulse flakes and sea salt sprinkled on top and I may have some sardines with it too or I sometimes I have homemade porridge. If it’s a gut-healing day I’ll have warmed broth, which is healing and sealing for the digestive system and full of good fats and minerals. I usually have a supply of this at home and make it in my slow cooker.

During the morning I have a green juice with kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, lemon and ginger or I make my zested ginger beer recipe.

1pm

I normally eat lunch at around 1pm and it’s salmon or fish and stir fried vegetables such as zucchini, broccoli, kale, spinach, carrot, ginger and garlic and tamari and tahini or if its gut healing Monday then it’s a salmon chowder which is really filling and hearty.

6pm

I eat dinner fairly early and love to indulge in slow cooked meals, which I put together in the morning. I love to eat slow cooked lamb shanks or if it’s a HYG day I’ll use my lamb broth and add zucchini to it and some coconut milk and blend it up for easier digestibility.

I sometimes finish it off with a delicious healthy dessert either my vanilla custard from my Heal Your Gut eBook or tapioca pudding with chai spices.
