Recipe: Turmeric-Infused Rice With Golden Tofu

Recipe: Turmeric-Infused Rice With Golden Tofu

Serves 2


  • ½ cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 bag MirMir Organics Turmeric Tea
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 200g tofu, sliced into squares
  • 1 tsp coconut/olive oil
  • 2 tbsp roasted peanuts
  • Fresh coriander leaves and lime juice, to serve


1. In a small saucepan combine the rice, water, tea bag, turmeric, ginger and a
pinch of salt.
2. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and water
is absorbed.
3. Season the tofu with a few grinds of salt and pepper.
4. Heat the oil in a small pan over a medium heat and add the seasoned tofu.
Sauté for 5 minutes, flipping to cook each side, until tofu has a slightly golden.
5. Transfer the rice to a serving plate with serve with the tofu, peanuts and fresh
6. Squeeze over lime juice and enjoy.
