Federica has always been interested in nutrition since she was a teenager, she's passionate about helping women lose weight in a sustainable way.
She struggled with my body image and she was always researching for the latest weight loss diet. After high school, she decided to study a Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of Turin to learn more. She undertook several clinical placements during the three years degree, and she gained knowledge about many health conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, obesity, cardiovascular disease and cancer. After she graduated she realised that she did not want to work in a hospital (many dietitians do), but what she wanted to do was helping people staying away from the hospital and teach them how to make healthier food choices. After moving to Australia, she undertook a bachelor of Nutritional Medicine at the Australasian College of Natural Therapies in Sydney. During her second Bachelor, Federica learnt a new approach about nutrition: the holistic approach. Holistic refers to addressing the whole person, including their physical, mental, and emotional health, while taking social factors into consideration. After she completed the Bachelor of Nutritional Medicine she finally felt ready to practice and help people live their healthiest and happiest life. Her patients are people who want to lose weight, struggling with eating habits, bewildered by the constantly-changing idea of food proposed by the media, athletes who want to improve their performance, individuals who simply want to feel better, more active, and more clear-minded. Federica's areas of expertise are: - Weight management; - Specialised nutrition: food allergies and intolerances, vegetarian and vegan lifestyle; - Gut health: Coeliac Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS); - Women’s health: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), fertility and pregnancy; - Sport nutrition; - Cardiovascular disease: hypertension and hyperlipidemia; - Metabolic disorder: Diabetes (type 1 and type 2), hypothyroidism, insulin resistance; - General health and wellbeing!
