It also doesn't contain any of the anti-caking agents that refined salts often have listed on their ingredients list. It's been estimated that Himalayan Rock Salt may contain up to 84 different minerals and elements. The reason it has a pink hue is because one of the minerals it contains is iron. It is known for being super rich in minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium. It is minimally processed and thought to be loaded with essential minerals and trace elements so therefor is healthier than regular table salt. Iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium and just a few of those minerals that presents in higher amounts in Himalayan salt as opposed to regular salt.
