Tahlia is the creative genious behind the Instgram account @healthhappinesswellbeing, a lover of all things food, health and wellness. Her instagram has become such an integral part of her life- as it enables her to connect with inspiring foodies and passionate people every day(not to mention being able to create and share delish, wholesome food all of us envy and enjoy!)

6.00 am:

Good morning! I wake up in one of my favourite, most peaceful places- my bedroom, filled with fresh flowers, succulents, candles and beach inspired décor and check my horoscope using an app straight away! I drink a warm glass of lemon water with a touch of cayenne pepper and turmeric and head outside for a 45 minute workout incorporating strength and cardio. I love exercising bright and early to get my blood pumping and make me energised for the day!

After a quick swim and a 10 minute stretching session, I make a pot of green tea in my new favourite possession (a glass teapot + cup and saucer from T2) and drink it while I prepare my favourite meal of the day- BREAKFAST!

Today’s is a winner : Vanilla protein/banana pancakes with homemade berry chia jam, blueberries, mango, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, greek yogurt, dried white mulberries, a few nuts and seeds and peanut butter (AKA my favourite food!) Any other day might see my eating a savoury meal with eggs, avo, spinach and grilled tomatoes , soaked oats, smoothies, acai bowls, or toast with an array of toppings (hello peanut butter, cinnamon, banana and date chunks!)

10 am:

As I am currently on holidays, I head off for a beach walk with my mum, sister and pup! Normally I would start school at 7.30 (but I still wake up early enough to have a long, leisurely breakfast!)

1pm-Lunch:

Today’s lunch is a special one- my family and I drive to one of my favourite places to eat, The Grounds of Alexandria, where I indulge in an amazing burger of egg, bacon, cos lettuce, tomato relish, smoky mayo and avocado on a brioche bun + polenta chips- amazing! I also order a green veggie juice (it’s about balance right?!)

However, lunch on a typical day is usually a huge salad with a mix of baked and fresh vegetables, loads of leafy greens, brown rice/vegetable patties/falafels/fish/chicken + avo/hommus/seeds dressed with lemon juice, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sometimes I enjoy leftovers such as stir-fry or veggie curry, quinoa salad or stuffed sweet potatoes- YUM!

Afternoon snack:

I snack on a carrot with some dukka hummus and a whole Lebanese cucumber (my current vegetable obsession!) You may also find me constantly snacking on apples/banana with peanut butter, fresh juices, fruit and veggies, nuts and dried fruit or some good quality cheese/dip with natural brown rice crackers.

7pm

Tonight’s dinner is a quick and easy family favourite- Stirfry. I cook a load of vegetables: capsicum, mushrooms, baby corn, broccolini, snow peas, zucchini and bok choy with chilli, natural peanut butter, coconut nectar, lemon, tamari, garlic and ginger. Everyone in my family likes theirs different so we have a choice to serve with brown rice or noodles, teriyaki chicken or tofu. I serve mine with brown rice, tofu and an extra squeeze of lemon!

8pm:

As part of a nightly ritual, I brew another pot of herbal tea and eat a row (or 2, or 3) of chocolate (loving Earth coconut mylk chocolate, salted caramel, crunchy mint or lindt 85% dark chocolate are my favs!). This is my favourite part of the night where I can relax, light some candles, reply to emails/ messages on instagram and tumblr, do some planning in my diary, write in my journal and I also have a (once weekly) lush face mask. A couple of hours later I head to bed dreaming of breakfast...
