It contains iodine which is important for thyroid function. As well as Vitamin K, Manganese, potassium, sodium, copper, iron and folate. My son and I eat Seaweed snacks for the nutritional content and as a yummy savoury snack. He thinks they are like a chip, but far more nutritious. Give them a go, you won't be disappointed! As seaweed is a rich source of iodine, it supports the health of our thyroid and the production of thyroid hormones. Along with iodine, nori contains a wide range of other minerals and is a great way to boost up our intake of these. It's also very high in calcium, but you'd need to eat a very large amount to meet your intake, which isn't advised. Nori is also packed full of vitamins including vitamins A, C, E and K. I also highly suggest crumbling up the seaweed and using as a salad topper for that extra salty and crunch goodness! Turn any ordinary salad into a flavour bomb with some crunchy seaweed.Rich in iodine they are a great for supporting a healthy thyroid and hormones.
