Melissa Eaton is a postgraduate researcher, having commenced her PhD in 2021 in Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetics).
She is also a Dietitian, Nutritionist, and former teacher, having completed a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics, a Bachelor of Science (Food and Nutrition) - both graduating with Distinction, and a BA with a Diploma of Education. She practices as a non-diet dietitian, and has the primary aim of helping women heal their relationship with food and find food freedom (because physical and mental health are equally as important!). Melissa’s PhD research explores nutrition and mental health, with a focus on weight-neutral, non-diet interventions. She is also interested in using social media as a means of nutrition communication and is currently growing a career working in the media. Currently, you’ll find Melissa on social media standing up against diet culture and busting nutrition myths, and in academia, writing about nutrition and mental health.
