SunButter™ is a natural and reef-safe sunscreen brand created by marine biologist Sacha Guggenheimer and conservation ecologist Tom Hiney in 2016. They were working on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia and wanted to protect their skin and the coral reefs from chemical sunscreen pollution. They developed a SPF50 formula that was gentle on their skin and harmless to marine life. SunButter™ grew from a handmade sunblock to Australia's first vegan surf zinc and reef safe sunscreen in reusable and recyclable tins. All products are approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration. SunButter™ follows the mantra of "Protecting People & The Planet".

Frequent re-application or use in accordance with directions is required for effective sun protection. It is important to wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear when exposed to the sun.
