Back
Another day, another coffee! Whether you’ve been having more coffee at home because of lockdown, or you’re trying to cut back on overpriced takeaway lattes, these products can help you with that.
From instant coffees to keto-friendly coffee creamers and barista-quality plant-based milks, we’ve found a simple swap for every kind of coffee drinker.
Viveberry Coffee

Viveberry coffee sachets contain ingredients that we can understand. There’s no messing around with all sorts of unnatural additives like those found in a typical coffee sachet. They don’t contain vegetable oils, refined sugars or stabilisers, all of which we’re better off avoiding in our normal coffee.
Conventional coffee sachets tend to contain one or more types of refined sugar, while Viveberry use monk fruit, a more natural sweetener that doesn’t have the same impact on our blood sugar levels.
Viveberry bring us great tasting coffee, with added benefits for performance. The addition of coffee berry brings antioxidants and polyphenols, while ginseng brings some brain boosting properties. Since many of us enjoy coffee for its ability to support mental performance, why not enhance the effect by enjoying a cup of Viveberry as our choice of coffee sachet.
Your Tea

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, Her Tea digestive system connects closely with our mood – with the gut often being referred to the second brain. In order for emotions to be light, the digestive system must have the capacity to digest foods as well as emotions.
‘Happy’ includes the beautiful Mei Gui Hua (Flower Of Rose) accompanied with warming Wu Long Cha (Oolong Tea). This blend is rounded out with zesty Ning Meng (Lemon), invigorating Gou Qi (Fructus Lycii) and the leaf and stem of Hong Cha (Black Tea).
Traditionally Her Tea ingredients have been used to assist with:
- Fluid retention
- Calming digestion
- Enhancing energy
- Enhancing mood
Taprobane Tea Organic Green Tea

When you need a caffeine hit but are trying to swap out the coffee, green tea can be a great alternative. It’s a source of a type of catechin referred to as EGCG, which is an antioxidant and contributes to a number of benefits that green tea can be associated with. Containing both caffeine and L-theanine means that caffeine can support concentration and brain function.
Tea is generally a healthy option, but something we don’t always think about is the potential of there being plastic in the tea bags. Plastic contains xenoestrogens, which can be disruptive to our hormone health. Thankfully, not all tea bags contain plastic and more brands are making the shift to natural materials. However, to avoid the chance of consuming microplastics in our tea, we love a good loose-leaf tea.
Brain & Brawn Collagen Coffee with Organic Cordyceps, MCT C8 & C10

The Bran & Brawn Collagen Coffee is helping us take our morning cup of coffee to the next level. It contains collagen for skin and gut loving benefits, MCT oil for energy production and cordyceps for blood sugar regulation. Not to mention that it has no added sugars and the healthy fats from the coconut oil, MCT oil and grass-fed butter help us feel satisfied.
When choosing a coffee powder, there’s a few things we should look out for and steer clear from. The most obvious one is added sugars, some people love the bitterness of coffee, others not so much. Brands know this and to appeal to the masses (and our taste buds) it’s not uncommon to see added sugars. The worst culprits are the flavoured coffee sachets, I’m looking at you caramel! Then, there’s vegetable oils. It may seem strange adding oil to a coffee powder, but there it is. Vegetable oils can have an inflammatory impact on the body and are best avoided. A third ingredient to look out for is artificial flavours, which usually appear as just ‘flavours’. This one’s pretty self explanatory as anything artificially created is far from being a real food.
Organic India Tulsi Tea

If you don’t like coffee try this tea…. Also known as Holy Basil, or the ‘queen of herbs’, tulsi tea has been used for hundreds of years in the traditional Indian modality of Ayurvedic Medicine. This tea boasts adaptogenic properties, which supports our nervous system and helps our body adapt to everyday stresses. It doesn’t stop there though, tulsi can also benefit our immune system, help our body naturally detoxify and support our energy levels. There are some important vitamins and minerals found in tulsi, these include vitamins A and C, calcium, zinc and iron. Enjoying the tea from tulsi leaves can give us some of these amazing benefits, along with a nice earthy flavour. Organic India provides us with one of the best tulsi teas on the market. Whether you like coffee or not, this tea is one you want to add to your collection!
Swap an Instant Cappuccino for an X50 Revolver Coffee

Unlike that super processed, sugar-loaded instant capp on your left, X50’s Revolver MCT & Superfood Coffee will put a STEADY pep in your step - thanks to ingredients like slow burning Coconut MCT Powder. We’re also all for the addition of broccoli powder so you can get your greens in, first thing in the AM (you can’t taste the broccoli, promise).
Swap Woolies Coffee Creamer for Tonika Coffee Creamer

We love a little Tonika Co. Vanilla Macadamia Creamer in our coffee not just because the first (main) ingredient isn't sugar (AKA Glucose Syrup), but because it’s delish. It’s also free from the hardened vegetable fats found in commercial creamers, a potential source of undesirable trans fats. Sweetened naturally with low sugar, plant-derived Monk Fruit Extract and Xylitol instead of refined sugar, Tonika Co.’s creamer comes complete with nutritional benefits from a whole heap of ingredients - including Coconut MCT Oil for slow-burning fuel, plus Lion’s Mane Mushroom to help you focus.
Swap the Cow’s Milk in Your Coffee for Minor Figures’ Light Oat Milk

New product drop! If you're after a dairy-free/lactose-free/plant-based alternative to light milk for your latte, give this swap a whirl. We're fans of all things Minor Figures, and their latest oat milk is no exception. Its taste and consistency is surprisingly similar to light milk. It even steams/foams like light milk. Plus it has no added sugar, just natural sweetness from creamy oats.
Swap an Instant Decaf Cappuccino for a BeforeYouSpeak Reset Decaf Mocha

When you’re keen for a coffee that will help wind you down instead of up, BeforeYouSpeak’s Reset Decaf Mocha is it. We rate this one because the main ingredients are decaf coffee and cocoa, as they should be (ingredients on a food label are always listed in descending order). It gets bonus points for having zero added sugar and numbered ingredients we wouldn't keep in our pantry, all while being boosted with functional ingredients like valerian, the 'sleep herb', plus L-theanine, an amino acid that helps you chill.
Swap Nestle Coffee Creamer with BeforeYouSpeak Creamer

Another swap for the coffee creamer fans, BeforeYouSpeak’s clean take on creamer has been running off our shelves. Not only is it dairy-free, it’s also free from refined sugar and weird numbered ingredients. Thanks to being loaded with slow-burning fats and filling fibre, it’ll keep you going all day, too.
