Nutritionally they contain some plant based protein, fibre, and omega 3 fatty acids. As well as various B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, calcium and iron. Along with being a source of healthy fat, it is also a great way to boost our intake of dietary fibre. It can support gut health and keep your digestion regular. You can sprinkle it over porridge, bircher or yoghurt and incorporate it into raw treats.I recommend storing your flaxseed / linseed meal in the fridge to protect the naturally occurring healthy oils.
