This week's Five-Minute Foodie is 'The Fit Foodie' otherwise known as Sally O’Neil. Sally is on a mission to prove that healthy and nutritious doesn’t have to be boring – and that even while staying in shape you can have your cake and eat it too. After losing 14 kilos from cutting out processed foods, she began to record her recipes online and the blog that soon followed became a hit. Sally is now the author of Chocolate Everyday and owner of a popular range of vegan and fructose-free protein ball mix range FIT MIXES.

Time Starts... NOW!

What food can you not live without? Almond butter. I use it for savoury sauces, sweet frostings, in soups, smoothies or just straight outta the jar.

Favourite food joint? About Life - it always has super fresh and tasty whole foods with a ridiculous amount of choice.

Your go-to breakfast? Smoothie bowl with a scoop of pea protein, tonnes of fruit and nuts OR Avocado and poached eggs.

First thing you do when you wake in the morning? Check my phone for urgent emails, then workout. I always give myself an hour in the morning of ‘me’ time - whether that be yoga, boxing, running or just stretching. It keeps me chilled and productive for the rest of the day.

Fill in the blank. I put __________ on/with all my food. Salt.

Savoury or sweet? I’m a sucker for the pink flakes. Sorry blood pressure.

It's date night. Your perfect restaurant would be? Japanese! Sake in The Rocks is my current favourite.

You have a free plane ticket to anywhere in the world. You must be guided by your stomach. Where would you go and why? Back to the UK for my mother-in-law’s chicken pie, followed by her famous chocolate cake. It’s not healthy, but its made from scratch with love.

The word Wholefood to you means…. Food that hasn’t been tampered with by science or people. Wholefoods in their natural state provide us with optimum nutrients to nourish our bodies - and I love lots of them!

Your favourite food memory is of.… Going to Gordon Ramsey’s Restaurant at Claridges (London). I was invited to meet the chefs and have a tour of the kitchen after my meal. It was amazing to see such talented foodies at work and the dedication that goes into every plate.

Three health goals for this year? 1) Less cardio, more zen. I just completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, and loved every minute. I emerged a much lighter person, and want to carry that throughout the year. I’ll be switching up some of my usual cardio sessions for Hatha or even some Yin. 2) Buy more seasonal produce. I’m a sucker for buying fruit and veg that’s not in season, just because I like it. 3) Keep a huge jug of water on my desk. A great reminder to stay hydrated!

You are known for your ________ recipe? Crispy skinned salmon. I have it at least once a week without fail!

Fill in the blank. I may be full but if you put ________ in front of me I will eat it any day. Cookie Dough Fit Mixes. Pass me some dark melted chocolate for dipping and I’m in heaven.

Favourite food quote? "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” -Virginia Woolf
