Recipe: Vegetarian Maple Tamari Poke Bowl

Seaweed makes for the the perfect on-the-go snack, but have you ever thought about mixing them through a nourish bowl? They provide great texture and flavour and of course, the goodness of iodine which we all need in our diets. Give this Maple Tamari Poke Bowl featuring the Ceres Organics Teriyaki BBQ Seaweed next time you feel like getting creative with your lunch!

Recipe: Vegetarian Maple Tamari Poke Bowl


1/3 block of tempeh, cut into cubes

1/2 tbsp tamari

1/2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp olive oil

1 tsp fresh grated ginger

1 packet Ceres Organics Teriyaki Seaweed

1/4 cup cooked edamame beans

1/2 cup steamed green beans

1/2 Lebanese cucumber, diced

1/2 cup baby spinach leaves

1/2 cup cooked brown rice


1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

2. Combine the tamari, maple syrup, olive oil and ginger. Whisk with a fork and then drizzle over the tempeh on a lined baking tray.

3. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

4. Arrange the rice, vegetables and seaweed in a bowl.

5. Add the tempeh and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
