Giovana Goncalves, MHumNutr, ANutr (Nutrition Society Australia), Paediatric Clinical Nutritionist with a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Graduated course in Functional Nutrition for Special Needs Children and Graduating Studies in Comprehensive Approach in ASD-ADHD - Certified Feeding Therapist - specialisation (2020 SOS Mentoring Program). Giovana specialises in Nutrition Education, Intervention and Lifestyle for children with, Autism Spectrum Disorder-ADHD and works as a Feeding Therapist support for feeding difficulties-ARFID, based on SOS advanced courses in ASD, Oral Motor and other advanced courses (Get Permission, RF Pro) related to Feeding Selectivity. She has a special interest in paediatric behavioural and paediatric feeding difficulties related to nutrition. Giovana is a multi-disciplinary nutritionist with a comprehensive knowledge of human nutrition biochemistry, neurochemistry and feeding difficulties, sensory disorders and oral motor issues. She prefers to work as part of an integrative team of OTs, SLPs, psychologists and GPs. Her current work involves: - Analysis and therapies for children`s food-related behaviour(s) and symptoms (eating preferences and aversions, gastrointestinal health, sleeping issues, GIT issues, etc). - Paediatric blood analyses in ASD-ADHD, Organic Acid Test reading for ASD-ADHD, stool analysis, other functional exams. - Individualised paediatric supplementation prescription in ASD-ADHD. - Analysis and therapies for children`s possible foods sensitivities, intolerance and allergies in neurodevelopmental disorder. - Personalised recommendation of nutritional intervention based on special diets. - Dietary intervention and supplementation for neurological approach for children`s behavioural changes. - Feeding Therapy Specialist - training in ASD and oral-motor difficulties, SPD, based on the SOS approach and other specialised courses in Feeding Selectivity-Difficulties, ARFID.
