Lupin is a type of legume and adds to the creamy texture of this potato mash. Lupin is a type of legume that belongs to the peanut family and is often found in gluten free products. Lactic acid is generally found in fermented and pickled foods and is used as a preservative. The bacteria that produce lactic acid are a type of probiotic. Although the ingredients within this product are good, I would recommend eating the whole food potato rather than this product.
